Expertly fills a void in the medical translation market

This excellent English-Russian Russian-English medical dictionary expertly fills a void in the medical translation market. At a time when globalization, technology, and new budgetary realities are causing rapid change in the medical field, this dictionary is both timely and prescient. With 601 pages devoted to English-Russian and Russian-English word translation, 75 pages devoted to a full spectrum of medical phrase translation, and three appendixes covering abbreviations and prefixes/suffixes, this is a dictionary no medical library or bilingual professional in the field should be without.

Great for medical interpreters!

I highly recommend the English-Russian Russian-English Medical Dictionary and Phrasebook by Yuliya Baldwin to any medical interpreter. This dictionary has every conceivable medical word that you might use during an office visit. I also like that Russian terminogy has stresses, makes it easy to pronounce. This book also has a lot of extra stuff in the Appendixes like bilingual phrases for history chief complaint, medical history, medical insurance terms, review of systems, medications, signs and symptoms, medical tests, ...the list goes on and on.

bad mistake

I bought this dictionary for my studying to become a medical interpreter and at first when I got it I was very excited, because it has a lot of words, very useful phrasebook at the end and even prefix and suffix appendix. BUT I found a very bad mistake, not a typo, it is a mistake-if you look up term "kidney function test", in translation you will find a LIVER function test!!!!!! It is bad.
Now I don't know what i should do...Can I return it after having it for so long..??
I think I should have trusted old tested dictionaries.
